Theatre Making
Our Level 4 Professional Diploma - Theatre Making course prepares people to enter the stage industry. This education allows students to work with real clients and production companies in the creative industries. This equips those with a creative vision with the skills and breadth of knowledge they need to gain experience working on live productions.
This is a free, full-time, one-year course for students who will be aged 18. You must have completed a Level 3 extended diploma or A-levels in a relevant subject before starting in September.
You will gain a Level 4 professional diploma in 'Technical and Production Practice for the Creative Industries'.
At BOA Stage and Screen Production we place significant emphasis on work-readiness, project-based learning and industry collaboration, and our purpose-built curriculum has been designed in collaboration with major UK industry partners to ensure our students are genuinely "stage-ready" when they leave us.
Students will undertake a sequence of live industry projects, working with major partners such as the Birmingham Royal Ballet, The Rep and PRG as well being taught by a range of industry professionals.
Students will attend relevant workshops and classes, executing their duties, and keeping a journal and e-portfolio as evidence.
This means students leave equipped with the credits, experience and professional network they need to progress directly into the industry, or pursue further studies at the very best universities.
